(Oral) This is a petition under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure for transfer of proceedings initiated by the respondent-husband under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act') from Mohali to Patiala.

It is urged before the court that certain proceedings are already pending at Patiala. Father of the applicant has already expired and she is dependent on her old aged mother. Besides, she has financial constraints. Thus, it would not be possible for her to effectively defend the proceedings at Mohali.

Under the circumstances, the present petition is allowed. It is directed that proceedings under Section 13 of the Act at Mohali, be transferred to a court of co-ordinate jurisdiction at Patiala.
