The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for extension of parole to the petitioner already granted by respondent No.1 for 42 days to carry out agricultural work which is going to be expired on 28.09.2023 and he has to surrender on 29.09.2023 under Section 3 of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962 amended up to date on medical ground as the petitioner suffering from Degue and vomiting and he has been advised strict rest for 14 days i.e. till 10.10.2023. 2.

Reply by the UT by way of affidavit of Mr. Amandeep Singh, CPS-Additional Superintendent Model Jail, Chandigarh, filed today in court is taken on record.
