& ()* The instant petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, 'BNSS, 2023') seeking grant of regular bail in FIR No. 156 of 2024 under Sections 22, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act registered at Police Station Garshankar, District Hoshiarpur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been wrongly implicated in the present case and false recovery has been planted upon him. Learned counsel further submits

On the other hand, learned State counsel, appearing on advance notice, opposes the grant of bail to the petitioner and contends that other SEEMA 2025.08.27 18:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

 

 cases are pending against the petitioner and in the present case out of total ten witnesess only two have been examined till date. 4.

Faced with this, learned counsel appearing for the petitoiner seeks permission to withdraw the present case while limiting his prayer to the extent that a direction be given to the trial Court to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.

Permitted to do so.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with a direction to the trial Court to conclude the trial within a period of six months from the next date fixed therein.
