This is a petition under section 24 of Code of Civil Procedure seeking transfer of proceedings initiated by husband-respondent under section 9 of the Act from Jalandhar to Gurdaspur. It has been urged before the court that distance between two places is more than 100 kilometers. Petitioner has no independent source of income. Besides certain litigations between the parties is already pending at Gurdaspur. Respondent remains unrepresented despite service. Keeping in view facts and circumstances of the case, it is hereby directed that proceedings pending before the court at Jalandhar under section 9 of the Act be transferred to court of coordinate jurisdiction at Gurdaspur.
