*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Learned State counsel, at the outset, submits that there is no apprehension to the petitioners. He refers to para 3 of status report dated 12.10.2023, which is already on record, which reads as thus:- "3. That in pursuance of order dated 05.10.2023 passed by this Hon'ble Court it is submitted that, an inquiry was conducted by ASI Balwinder. During the inquiry, on 08.10.2023, ASI Balwinder visited the Sir Chotu Ram Colony, Uchana and inquired about the matter. During inquiry on 08.10.2023 both the petitioners gave statements that they have no need of police protection and they are living peacefully in village Uchahan. The detailed statements of petitioner No.1 is annexed as Annexure R-1 and statement of petitioner no.2 as annexed as Annexure R-2 for kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court."

In view of the aforesaid, no further proceedings are warranted before this Court.

Disposed of accordingly.
