**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J.(Oral) Petitioner seeks grant of regular bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C in case bearing FIR No.63 dated 22.05.2019 registered under Sections 15, 18 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Maqsudan, District Jalandhar.

     In compliance of the said order, status report has been received from the Court of Sessions Judge, Jalandhar, wherein it has been stated that vide order dated 30.06.2021 passed in CRM-M No.22440 of 2021, directions have already been issued to the trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same on or before 31.12.2021. It was also observed that the Court would make best efforts to conclude the trial on or before 31.12.2021. Learned State counsel submits that out of total 11 prosecution witnesses, 8 witnesses have already been examined. Today is the date fixed before the trial Court for remaining prosecution witnesses.

In all probability, some more witnesses must have been examined today.

Since as per status report, the Court has also showed its willingness to conclude the trial on or before 31.12.2021, therefore, no ground is made out to grant regular bail to the petitioner at this stage, however, if the trial is not concluded on

 or before 31.12.2021, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court by way of filing fresh petition. Disposed of accordingly.
