Mittal, Advocate for the respondents. *** Learned counsel for the appellant states that in view of the observations made by the First Appellate Court in its judgment, the appellant intends to approach the respondents in terms of Sections 67 and 68 of the Electricity Act, 2003 for granting of compensation on account of installation of electricity poles in his land. He states that he be permitted to withdraw the present appeal though a direction be issued to the respondents to decide his application to be moved expeditiously since appellant-plaintiff is involved in protracted litigation with respondents regarding the matter. Learned counsel for the respondents states that the application which is to be moved by the appellant, as and when the respondents would be disposed of with all promptness.
