Mr. Hitesh Pandit, Advocate, for the respondent. **** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Pursuant to order dated August 24, 2016, both petitioner and respondent are present in court. Learned counsel have sought instructions from them. They submit that there is no possibility of amicable settlement between the parties. This court, thus, proceeds to decide the transfer petition.

This is a petition under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure for transfer of proceedings initiated by the respondent-husband under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act') from Patiala to Phillaur.

Learned counsel for the parties submit that they have instructions to submit that proceedings may be transferred to a court of competent jurisdiction at Ludhiana.

In view of statement made by them, this petition is allowed. It is directed that proceedings under Section 9 of the Act at Patiala, be transferred to a court of competent jurisdiction at Ludhiana.
