(Oral) Learned State counsel has today filed short reply by way of affidavit of Shri Daman Bir Singh, PPS Assistant Commissioner of Police, North, Jalandhar, wherein it has specifically been deposed that an appeal against an order passed by Commissioner of Police would be maintainable before the State Government. The aforesaid reply is taken on record. Faced with the aforestated position, learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail of remedy of statutory appeal.
