This is a petition for transfer of proceedings initiated by respondent-husband under section 13 of the Act from Barnala to Mohali. Admittedly, FIR was lodged against husband. Trial of the same is pending in District Mohali. Petitioner is residing in Zirakpur. She is dependent on her parents. It may be difficult for her to effectively defend the proceedings pending at Barnala.

Under the circumstances, this court direct that proceedings under section 13 of the Act be transferred from the court at Barnala to a court of competent jurisdiction at Mohali. Trial court would endeavor to conclude the proceedings expeditiously.
