NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for setting-aside the order/reply dated 06.08.2024 (Annexure P-2), issued by respondent No.2 whereby the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer w.e.f. the date the employees junior to the petitioner (w.e.f. 04.11.2022) has been rejected. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought for directing the respondents to grant promotion to the petitioner on the post of Assistant Executive Engineer from the date the employees junior to the petitioner were promoted along with all the consequential benefits and interest @ 12% per annum from the date the said benefits became due till its actual payment to the petitioner.
