(ORAL) This appeal has been directed against the judgement and order dated 05.10.2016 passed by the learned Single Judge dismissing the writ petition filed by the petitioner (appellant herein) seeking relief of admission in the Bachelor of Architecture (five years degree course) at the Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA) for the session 2016-2017 under single girl child category.

It is informed by learned counsel, appearing for respondent No. 6, that on account of an interim order dated 24.10.2016 passed by this Court, the appellant has already completed the course and has thereafter also been registered as an Architect with the Council of Architecture. It is stated that the interim order has already fructified in a degree in favour of the appellant and she has also been registered as an Architect and, therefore, nothing further survives for adjudication in the present appeal. Taking the aforesaid statement of learned counsel for respondent No. 6 on record and in terms thereof, the appeal is disposed of as infructuous leaving the legal question open for adjudication in the appropriate proceedings. It is, however, clarified that this appeal has been disposed of keeping the peculiar facts and circumstances prevailing therein and, therefore, AMODH SHARMA 2023.02.07 14:56 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgement

LPA-2024-2016 (O&M) our decision is confined to this case only and shall not be treated as a precedent or cited as such in any other matter, moreso, as no decision on merits of the appeal has been taken by this Court.
