RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the lives and personal liberty of the petitioner and his family members as they apprehend danger to their life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.6 to 9, who are harassing, intimidating and threatening the petitioner and his family members for dire consequences of their lives and also to take legal action against the private respondents. It is further prayed to direct the official respondents to decide and to take appropriate action on the written application-cum-complaint, dated 25.09.2023, Annexure P-3, vide which the petitioner has complained that respondents No.6 to 9 in league and connivance with each other are trying to eliminate him with their family MEENU 2024.09.06 17:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Status report has already been filed by the respondents/State on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 on the last date of hearing, i.e. 21.08.2024 wherein it has been submitted that the allegations made by the petitioner were enquired into, however, the same were not substantiated and were found to be false. It has been thus submitted that no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, as alleged, is found and for maintenance of peace among the petitioner and the respondents, a Kalandra under Sections 126, 169 of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been presented on 07.08.2024 against respondents No.7 to 9 before the Court of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Fazilka.
In view of the status report filed by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court in case any further cause of action accrues to him. September 06, 2024 ( RAJESH BHARDWAJ ) meenuss JUDGE 1.
