DEEPAK GUPTA , J.(Oral) Although, status report is not filed by the respondent-State, but after conducting necessary verification from H.C. Gagandeep Singh, it is informed by learned State counsel that marriage of the brother of the petitioner is fixed for 17.10.2023 and the Shagan Ceremony is stated to be fixed for 16.10.2023. However, learned State counsel further informs that the brother and the father of the petitioner are there. Therefore, the request of the petitioner to allow interim bail to him is declined, particularly considering the order dated 21.07.2023 earlier passed by this Court. However, prayer made by counsel for the petitioner is allowed to the extent that petitioner be taken to the place of marriage on 16.10.2023 and 17.10.2023, so as to attend the same in custody.

The Superintendent, District Jail, Sangrur shall take appropriate steps so as to produce the petitioner in custody at the place of marriage in the morning of 16.10.2023 and bring him back in the evening of 17.10.2023, in case any such request is made by the petitioner. In case, the petitioner is taken, then necessary security arrangements shall be made by the Superintendent Jail. All the expenses shall be borne by the petitioner.
