**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J.(Oral) The petitioners have preferred this petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to renew the stage carriage permit No.894/ MBR/02.

The stage carriage permit was issued to the petitioners on 18.09.2002 in compliance of the order passed by the appellate Tribunal dated 07.02.2002. The permit of the petitioners was periodically renewed from time to time upto 17.09.2022. The holder of the permit namely Swaran Singh died and his legal representatives filed an application on 06.09.2022 along with prescribed fee under Rule 67 of the MOHMED ATIK 2022.11.11 18.02 I attest to the authenticity and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-25660-2022 Punjab Motor Vehicles Rules for grant of renewal of the permit in accordance with law. The needful has not been done so far. Precisely for the grievance in question, the petitioners have also issued legal notice/representation dated 30.09.2022. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case their legal notice/representation dated 30.09.2022 is ordered to be decided by the respondent No.2 in a time bound manner in accordance with law.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Lavanya Paul, D.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In the very nature of prayer made by the petitioners, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 30.09.2022 issued by the petitioners in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
