Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and to restrain the private respondents not to harass or interfere in their lives. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to take a decision on the representation (Annexure P-5) submitted on behalf of the petitioners.

Learned State counsel, who appears on advance notice, has no objection if the above prayer is accepted.
