By this application, the applicant-petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the main petition which is otherwise fixed for 08.04.2024. 2.

It is contended that the main petition was filed for quashing of FIR No. 73, dated 09.11.2013, under Sections 406 and 498-A of the IPC, registered at Police Station Women Cell, District Bathinda. However, during the pendency of the present petition, an ex parte divorce has been granted to respondent No. 2-wife on 11.12.2023, as such, the petitioner wants to file a fresh petition.

In view of the above, the application is allowed. The date of hearing fixed in the accompanying petition is advanced from 08.04.2024 to today itself. The case is taken up on Board.
