Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner was cheated to the tune of Rs.17,45,000/- on the pretext of sending his son abroad. Regarding this, an FIR No.0186 dated 23.04.2024 has been registered under Section 420 of IPC at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala i.e. more than one year ago but till date, no action has been taken by the authorities so far. He further contended that the petitioner also moved a representation dated 25.07.2025 (Annexure P-2) to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Barnala.
