***** SUBHAS MEHLA, J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.30 dated 14.03.2025, registered under Sections 304, 305 324(4), 331(4) BNS, 2023 at Police Station Ghuman, Batala, District Gurdaspur. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case and is not named in the FIR. Learned counsel further contends that there is no direct or indirect evidence to connect the petitioner with the alleged offence and he has been nominated on the basis of mere suspicion.

Status report has been filed by way of an affidavit of Harish Behal, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, NDPS Batala with the additional charge of Sub Division Sri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala, on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab.

CRM-M-44044-2025 present petitioner. Learned State counsel further submits that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required to be conducted as recovery of stolen articles is yet to be effected.

Having regard to the fact that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required and recovery of stolen article is yet to be effected, this Court is not inclined to grant the benefit of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.

Dismissed.
