(Oral) Challenge in the present criminal appeal is to the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 23.03.2015 passed by the Special Judge, Moga, whereby the appellant was sentenced under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years with fine of Rs.15,000/- and in default thereof, to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of six months. 2.

Learned counsel for the appellant submits that the appellant herein has since then passed away on 22.10.2022. A certificate in this regard has also been placed on record.

In view of the above, the present appeal is disposed of as having been abated.
