The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. for issuance of appropriate direction for proper investigation in case of FIR No.66 dated 04.05.2014 registered under Sections 324 and 34 IPC (Sections 325 and 326 IPC added later on) at Police Station Mukatsar City, District Muktsar. 2.

Notice of motion was issued on 10.12.2019, pursuant thereto status report by way of affidavit of Avtar Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Sri Muktsar Sahib, District Sri Muktsar Sahib has been filed. Same is taken on record. Learned State counsel makes a reference to para 4 thereof, which reads thus:- "4. That it is submitted that the police prepared the untraced report in the FIR in question on 26.11.2015 which was also filed in the learned court. The learned court of C.J.M., Sri Muktsar Sahib vide order dated 10.11.2022 returned the untraced report for conducting further investigation in the matter. It is submitted that during re-investigation, the accused Surjeet Singh (Respondent No.4) has been found innocent and SANDAL SHARMA 2023.05.05 18:28 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition be disposed of with liberty to avail of alternate remedy available to him in accordance with law.
