The instant petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.195 dated 06.07.2025, registered under Sections 408 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code, at Police Station Civil Lines, Batala, Gurdaspur. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is no more required in this case.

Status report by way of an affidavit of Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division City Batala, Police District Batala, filed by learned State counsel, which is taken on record. 4.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and order of interim bail dated 20.08.2025 is hereby made absolute subject to the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023.
