In the present writ petition, the petitioners are praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to grant pay scale to the petitioners in terms of Chandigarh Housing Board (Officers and Servants) Service Regulations, 2021 (Annexure P-1) dated 10.11.2021 i.e.10300-34800+ grade pay of 3200/-.

The grievance of the petitioners is that they have been deprived of the correct pay scale as mentioned in the advertisement as well as the relevant rules and are granted pay scale of 5200/-20200/-+ grade pay of 1900/-.

Learned counsel further submits that the similar issue came up for consideration before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench (hereinafter referred to as 'CAT, Chandigarh Bench'), in the case of employees working in the Union Territory, Chandigarh, and the same was decided vide judgment dated 22.09.2025 in OA No.193 of 2023 and OA No.192 of 2023 (Annexure P-13), wherein the applicants have been granted the benefit of the pay scale of 10300-34800+Grade Pay of 3200/-. 4.

Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioners, submits that at this stage, petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondents to consider the case of petitioners in light of the above said judgment passed by the CAT, Chandigarh Bench. 5.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondents do not object to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners.

In view of above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.3 and 4 to re-consider the case of petitioners for grant of pay scale of 10300-34800+Grade Pay of 3200/-, in light of the above said judgment passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench, in OA No.193 of 2023 and OA No.192 of 2023 decided on 22.09.2025 (Annexure P-13), in accordance with law within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. 7.

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
