**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No.2 and 3 to release the stage carriage permit on the route i.e. Muktsar to Bathinda via Deon and Goniana.

Perusal of the record would show that stage carriage permits were granted in favour of three persons namely Rajvinder Kaur (petitioner), Sourav Kumar and Akansha Arora by the respondent No.3 vide order dated 27.12.2021. The aforesaid grant was subject to production of registration certificate of fit bus and also payment of necessary taxes. CWP No. 25815 of 2022 -2At the instance of the petitioner, time was extended in terms of sub Section 30 of Section 2 of Motor Vehicles Act till 26.06.2022.

Perusal of representation dated 13.06.2022 made by the petitioner would indicate that qua two of the beneficiaries, needful was done but the case of the petitioner was sent to Headquarter by respondent No.3 on 22.06.2022. Grievance of the petitioner is that despite the case of the petitioner having been sent to the Headquarter/Head Office, needful in the context of granting necessary permission has not been done.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sanjeev Soni, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In view of nature of prayer made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate order in the context of claim of the petitioner in accordance with law, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 14.11.2022 (RAJ MOHAN SINGH) Jyoti Sharma JUDGE
