1. The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect his life and liberty as he apprehends threat to the same at the hands of respondent No.4.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he fell in love with daughter of respondent No.4 - Baljinder Singh and wants to marry her but respondent No.4 is opposed to the said relationship.

3. Pursuant to issuance of notice of motion, status report by way of affidavit of Shri Dharamvir Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Kharar-II, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) has been filed by learned State cousnel, which is taken on record.

4. It has been deposed in the aforesaid status report that statements of petitioner as well as of his father and the statement of respondent No.4 - Baljinder Pankaj Kakkar 2024.03.14 10:19 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-9834-2023 (O&M) ( 2 ) Singh have been recorded and that respondent No.4 in his statement has stated that although he had previously given a complaint against petitioner - Kundandeep Singh, but now the matter has been got compromised with the intervention of respectables and he is satisfied and he does not wish to take any action against the petitioner. A copy of the said statement is annexed with the status report as Annexure R-3 alongwith its translated version as Annexure R-3/T.

5. Statement of petitioner - Kundandeep Singh is also annexed with the status report as Annexure R-1 alongwith its translated version as Annexure R-1/T, wherein he has also endorsed the factum of compromise and has categorically stated that he does not apprehend any kind of threat.

6. In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition is disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.

7.
