Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner was harassed and beaten by the private respondents no. 5 (husband of the petitioner) and respondent no. 6 (friend of respondent no. 5). Regarding the same, she also made a complaint to the police but no action has been taken by the authorities. Learned counsel also stated that photographs regarding injuries of petitioner are also annexed with the petition and the medical report qua that is also placed on record. He further submits that at this stage, he would be satisfied if the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to take a decision on the representation (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioner.

Learned State counsel, who appears on advance notice, has no objection if the above prayer is accepted. He states that matter is under enquiry and the authorities will taken appropriate action as per law. 3.

Accordingly, at this stage, keeping in view the contentions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to take a decision on the aforesaid representation (Annexure P-4) submitted on behalf of the petitioner, in accordance with law.

Needless to add that the decision so taken be communicated to the petitioner and if the same is not to the satisfaction of the petitioner, it would be at liberty to challenge the same, in accordance with law.
