Sikander Singh ................Petitioner vs.

State of Punjab .................Respondent Coram: Hon'ble Mr. Justice H. S. Madaan Present: None for the petitioner Rana Harjasdeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab. ...

H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Similar was the position on the last date of hearing. Learned State counsel submits that the petitioner was directed to join the investigation vide order dated 23.10.2019, but till date he has not joined the investigation, despite specific direction given. He has further contended that on the last date of hearing, SI Kuldeep Singh, had appeared and had made a wrong statement with regard to the petitioner having joined the investigation, though he being required by the police for the purpose of effecting recovery. The State counsel is directed to take up the matter with the concerned police authorities, so as to get action initiated against the police officer, who had given wrong instructions to the State counsel. Nevertheless, under the circumstances, the petition cannot proceed further and is dismissed, accordingly. ( H.S.
