The instant petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.15 dated 06.09.2018 registered under Sections 498-A, 406 IPC IPC at Police Station NRI, District SAS Nagar.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the matter had been referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court where the mediation process has been successful and a settlement agreement has been entered into. In view of the said agreement, an amount of `3 lakhs by way of demand draft has been handed over to the counsel appearing for the complainant in the court today, a photocopy of which is retained on the court file.
