**** AMIT RAWAL, J. (ORAL) Petitioners are seeking indulgence of this Court for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to carry out the necessary correction in the Seniority List (Annexure P-2) in view of order dated 20.12.2018 (Annexure P-5) and further writ of mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioners on the next higher post after making correction in the seniority list.

Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners will be satisfied if the present writ petition be treated as representation and a direction is issued to respondent No.2-Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health Engineering Department, Panchkula, Haryana, to consider the same, within a stipulated period.

Without going into the merits and demerits of the claim of the petitioners, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2, to treat the present writ petition as representation and consider the same within a period of two

This condition of imposing costs is only to prevent petitioners to run from pillar to post and avail remedy of contempt in case of non-compliance of directions issued by this Court.
