Learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his submission only for permission to examine Umed Singh Redhu as witness in defence. Learned State counsel submits that she has no objection if permission as sought by the petitioner may be allowed and he may be permitted to produce the witness at his own responsibility and the matter may be left to the Court to see as to whether his statement is relevant or not. In view of submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner and learned State counsel, this petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to examine Umed Singh Redhu, resident of village Lochab, at his own responsibility. However, relevance of statement made by this witness will be a subject matter to be seen by the trial Court and the trial Court will be competent to allow or disallow any question put to this witness.
