(ORAL) Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for issuance of direction to official respondents to investigate the complaint filed against respondent No. 6-Jagtar Singh for embezzlement of Panchayat Funds/without getting sanction from the competent authority and intentionally destroyed the record regarding repair of village pond, while he was posted as Junior Engineer, Sub Division, Ganaur, District Patiala. Heard.

In view of reply filed by way of affidavit of Sh. Rajinder Singh, Chief Engineer (South), Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Punjab, on behalf of respondents no. 1 to 3, it transpires that after due enquiry, no evidence could be collected against respondent No. 6 qua alleged embezzlement of Panchayat funds. Therefore, due to the fact that matter relates to 7-8 years back, the instant petition cannot be continued any more.
