Prayer in this petition is for issuance of directions to the concerned Police to conduct fair and impartial investigation in cross case No.16 dated 28.05.2019, registered under Sections 326, 324, 323, 148 and 149 IPC in FIR No.114 dated 15.05.2019, registered under Sections 307, 326, 323, 324, 148 and 149 IPC, at Police Station Beas, Amritsar Rural, Amritsar.

Reply by way of an affidavit dated 21.07.2022 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Baba Bakala Sahib, District Amritsar (Rural), filed on behalf of the respondent-State, in the Court, is taken on record.

CRM-M-45639-2019 (O&M) -2As per the aforesaid reply, the investigation of the present FIR as well as DDR has been conducted in a fair and impartial manner. Para 9 of the reply reads as under:- "That it is respectfully submitted that keeping in view the detailed facts and submissions made hereinabove, it is evidence that the verification of investigation of the aforesaid cross version DDR No.16/2019 (supra) has been conducted by two senior officers and it has been found that the cross version DDR No.16/2019 (supra) has been registered oin the basis of correct facts. The investigation of the aforesaid FIR No.114/2019(supra) and the aforesaid Cross Version DDR No.

16/2019 (supra) is carried out in fair and impartial manner, which shall be taken to its logical conclusion, The petitioner and his family members are not having any kind of threat to their lives and liberty at the hands of the accused persons of the aforesaid case/FIR No.114-2019 (supra). However, protection of lives and liberty of every citizen of India is made, as per law by the police. Therefore, the present petition is liable to be dismissed."

In view of the above, no further orders are called for. Disposed of.
