ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petitioner herein, inter alia, seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to decide the appeal dated 08.02.2021 (Annexure P-6) within some stipulated period. Further prayer has been made to reinstate the petitioner with all consequential benefits. 2.

On advance service, learned State counsel appears and submits that a decision will be taken by the competent authority, either way, on the pending appeal by passing a speaking order. 3.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner also seek decision on the pending appeal, as suggested by learned State counsel, instead of pressing the instant petition.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents, as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the pending appeal dated 08.02.2021 (Annexure P-6) and decide the same, in accordance with law.
