Present petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking grant of regular bail, in case, bearing FIR No.177, dated 13.06.2025, under Section(s) 20(b)(ii)B and 29 of NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Sector-40, District Gurugram.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is inside jail since 13.06.2025, i.e., for a period of more than two months. It is further submitted that the contraband allegedly recovered, i.e., 3.216 kilograms of ganja, is marginally above the small quantity and falls within the category of intermediate quantity under the NDPS Act. Moreover, investigation in the present case has already been completed, challan has also been filed, and the case is now listed for framing of charges today, i.e., 26.08.2025. Since, trial is likely to take considerable time, counsel prays for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in the present case. Mr. Satbir Singh Goripuria, DAG, Haryana, appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State, and submits that apart from the present case, petitioner is involved in one other case of similar nature. Thus, prays for dismissal of present petition.

Taking into consideration the fact that petitioner is in custody since 13.06.2025, i.e., for a period of two months, and the contraband allegedly recovered falls under the category of intermediate quantity, being marginally above the small quantity, this Court deems it appropriate to grant the concession of regular bail to the petitioner in the present case. Accordingly, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner, namely, Ravi is ordered to be released on bail to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/Duty Magistrate concerned.
