NAMIT KUMAR, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents to release the petitioner on parole/furlough for a period of two weeks as per Section 3 of the Haryana Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 2022 in case FIR No.316 dated 18.04.2008 under Sections 302, 307, 212, 216, 148, 149 and 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Sadar Hisar, District Hisar. Further prayer has been made for directing respondent No.2 to decide representation dated 08.09.2022 (Annexure P-4) sent by the petitioner seeking parole/furlough for a period of two weeks.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2Superintendent Central Jail-I, Hisar, to consider and decide the RAVINDER SINGH 2022.12.01 19:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

Accordingly, and without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioner and even the assertions set out in the petition, the same is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, that shall be dealt with expeditiously in accordance with law by passing a speaking order preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and convey the same to the petitioner.
