Short reply by way of affidavit of Inderjit Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Rajasansi, Amritsar (Rural) has been filed in Court today. The same be kept on record. Copy thereof has been furnished to learned counsel for the petitioner. Paragraph no.8 of the said reply reads thus:

'8. That it is humbly submitted that presently the petitioner is confined in Central Jail, Goindwal Sahib, and status relating to the health of the petitioner has been obtained from the Medical Officer, Central Jail, Goindwal Sahib, Tarn Taran. The medical status given by the medical officer, Central Jail, Goindwal Sahib, Tarn Taran is as under:- "This is to bring to your kind notice that the patient Karan s/o Sandeep came to Jail hospital with complaint of Scrotal swelling. On 20.08.2025, the patient was referred to GNDH ASR for examination and management. The patient was advised oral medication and tests. The provisional diagnosis of hydrocele was made by the specialist doctor. Ashwani Kumar 2025.08.28 17:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M No.44570 of 2025 -2At present the patient is in stable condition & will be sent to GNDH, ASR on Monday/Thursday for pending investigation.' 2.

Faced with the averments made in the above reply, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition in hand at this stage. He submits that the concerned Jail Superintendent be directed to have requisite medical facilities/treatment afforded to the petitioner and in case any surgery is required, the said facility is also extended to the petitioner as per rules/law.
