***** SUBHAS MEHLA, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 528 Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita for quashing and setting aside the impugned remand order dated 25.05.2025 (Annexure P-3) as well as subsequent and consequential proceedings passed by the JMIC, Malerkotla in case FIR No.0132 dated 24.05.2025 under Section 22 NDPS Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Amargarh, Malerkotla.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that ground of arrest in the present case is not provided to the petitioner before her arrest and arrest of petitioner is illegal.

In response to the advance notice, Mr. Subhash Godara, Addl. A.G. Punjab has appeared and stated in the present case that the petitioner is arrested on a secret information and contraband is recovered from her possession. She is habitual offender and two more cases are pending against her and she was arrested for the possession of the contraband and necessary provisions of Act and rules are duly complied with at the time of her arrest. Heard.

CRM-M-47229-2025 Keeping in view the contention raised by the counsel for the petitioner as well as the State counsel, that petitioner is a habitual offender and involved in three cases of NDPS Act and at the time of her arrest necessary provisions of Act has been complied with, this Court find no merits in the present petition.

Dismissed.
