Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution praying for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent Nos.5 to 7.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jaswinder Pal, has apprised the Court that on the basis of complaint (P-1) made by the petitioner, an FIR No.143 dated 15.11.2023, under Sections 307, 336, 506 and 148 read with Section 149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and Sections 25 and 54 of the Arms Act, 1959, registered at Police Station Basti Baba Khel, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar, has already been registered in the matter and investigation is going on.
