The petitioner complains that despite taking over the possession of his property in exercise of the powers under the National Highways Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as "the 1956 Act"), the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition has not released his payment, though the identically situated landowners have already been paid the compensation.
