1. The petitioner herein seeks that his date of enlistment as Constable be brought at par with the date when SPOs junior to the petitioner was enlisted as Constable on out of turn basis. The petitioner also prays for grant of other consequential benefits.

2. It has been submitted that the case of the petitoner is fully covered by a judgment dated 16.3.2023 passed by this court in CWP-5648-2017 titled as Sukhmander Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others (Annexure P4).

3. Notice of motion.

4. At this stage, on the asking of this Court Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab who is present in the Court accepts notice. Learned State counsel submits that the case of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with MOHAN SINGH 2023.10.06 16:33 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-22464-2023 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2023:PHHC:129889 law and since they have already sent a legal notice dated 13.6.2023 (Annexure P-5) and the same has not been decided, some direction may be issued at this stage for expeditious disposal of the legal notice.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur, to consider the legal notice dated 13.6.2023 (Annexure P-5) in accordance with law while bearing in mind the ratio of judgment dated 16.3.2023 (Annexure P-4) and to dispose of the same expeditiously preferably within a period of 6 months from today.

6. A copy of this order along with copy of legal notice dated 13.6.2023 (Annexure P-5) be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur for necessary compliance.
