Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in criminal case bearing FIR No.230 dated 03.08.2025 registered under Sections 18 (C), 60, 27A and 29 of NDPS Act (Sections 27A and 29 of NDPS Act added later on) at Police Station Kalanaur, District Rohtak. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. The name of the petitioner did not figure in the FIR and has subsequently been added only on the basis of the disclosure statement of co-accused Rahul. The petitioner was not present at the spot. No recovery is to be effected from him and his custodial interrogation is not required. Therefore, he prays for granting the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 3.

Mr. Karan Veer Singh, Sr.DAG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submitted that the petitioner is the main accused in the present case as co-accused Kuldeep had handed over the contraband to co-accused Rahul at the instance of the present petitioner and Rahul was subsequently apprehended. It is further submitted that the vehicle in which Rahul was travelling also belongs to the petitioner. 5.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the present case since the petitioner is an employee of Haryana Police, whose responsibility is to check the illegal activities in the State but he himself involved in the present offence, this Court finds no ground to grant the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed.
