This is Criminal Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioner and her minor daughter at the hands of the respondent Nos.4 to 9. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in this regard a representation dated 21.09.2023 has been given to the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali), but no action has been taken thereon.

Mr. Adhiraj Singh, AAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Ramkishan Singh has submitted that earlier the petitioner had made a statement on 21.08.2023 that there were talks of compromise going on between the parties. Subsequently, the SHO had asked the petitioner to appear on 04.09.2023, however, the petitioner failed to appear. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed off with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the SHO, Police Station Banur, District SAS Nagar on 15.11.2023 at 10.00 AM.
