The instant petition has been filed for a direction to the police authorities not to harass the petitioner at the behest of respondents No.7 and

8. The petitioner has sought further directions for fair and impartial inquiry with regard to complaint No. 1506-PC 4/25 dated 08.07.2025, filed by the respondent No.7.

Notice of motion to the respondents No.1 to 6 only. 3.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. Eklavya Darshi, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 6 and waives service. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the police authorities have been calling the petitioner time and again with regard to complaint filed by respondents No.7 and 8. In the complaint, respondents No.7 and 8 have stated that the petitioner has cheated them of ₹2,00,000/-, DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2025.08.25 19:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document whereas the petitioner has taken ₹1,00,000/- only and that too at the behest

Criminal Misc. No. M-46300 of 2025 of his friend, namely Guljar Singh, who is residing in Dubai. The petitioner has filed representations dated 02.07.2025 and 02.08.2025 (Annexures P1 and P4), respectively, before the police authorities, but no action has been taken thereon as yet. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that a direction for disposing of the representations (Annexures P1 and P2) be given to the concerned authorities and the instant writ petition be disposed of.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to pass a speaking order and decide the representations of the petitioner (Annexures P1 and P2), as per law, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is, however, made clear that no finding with regard to merits of the allegations is being recorded vide instant order, and the police authorities shall be at liberty to take an independent decision with regard to contents of both the representations filed by the petitioner.
