Present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6.

Short reply by way of affidavit dated 17.10.2023 of Sh. Lakhwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rural, District Gurdaspur has been filed. The same is taken on record. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners on instructions submits that there is no threat to the life of the petitioners, hence, he be permitted to withdraw the present petition.
