NIRMALJIT KAUR, J. (ORAL) The present revision petition is filed for directing the Rent Controller, Ludhiana, to decide the rent petition filed by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible within time frame.

It is contended that the issues were framed on 07.05.2018. The petitioner-landlord has tendered his affidavit on 01.08.2018 and thereafter, the respondent had filed an application under Order 6 Rule 17, CPC and the same is pending since February 2019 and the matter is being adjourned on one pretext or the other.

In view of the above, the present revision petition is allowed and the concerned Rent Controller is directed to decide the case as expeditiously as possible preferably within one year of the date already fixed before it.
