This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to take necessary action and to protect the life and property of the petitioner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that in this regard, a letter dated 13.05.2023 (Annexure P-1) was sent by the petitioner who is lodged in Faridkot Jail in FIR No.64 dated 19.06.2019 under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Jhander. However, no action has been taken on the same till date. The counsel for the petitioner would further contend that he limits his prayer in the present petition and would be satisfied at this stage if directions are issued to decide the said representation in accordance with law. 3.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural) - to look into the letter/representation dated 13.05.2023 (Annexure P-1) and to deal with it in accordance with law.

Disposed off accordingly. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
