IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH (219) CRM-M-46962-2025 Date of Decision:- 27.10.2025 Lovely ......Petitioner
Versus
State of Haryana ......Respondent
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ALOK JAIN ****
Present:
Mr. Vikram Rathore, Advocate for the petitioner. Ms. Swati Batra, Senior DAG, Haryana.
**** ALOK JAIN, J. (Oral) 1.
The present petition has been filed seeking grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 110 dated 08.03.2022 under Section 365 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (Sections 363, 366-A and 120-B of IPC and Sections 4, 6, 17, 18 of POCSO added later on) registered at Police Station Sector Babain, District Kurukshetra, Haryana. 2.
Custody certificate dated 25.10.2025 has been filed by learned State counsel in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.
3.
At the outset, learned State counsel submits that the trial is at the fag end and is fixed for defence evidence and arguments and delay, if any, caused is only on account of the petitioner himself. Learned State counsel further submits that the petitioner was earlier granted the PARUL 2025.10.28 10:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CRM-M-46962-2025 concession of bail but he failed to appear before the learned Court below and has also taken two separate stands in the regular bail applications, which is the reason that the petitioner was not granted the concession of bail.
4.
Faced with the above-said fact that the trial is at the fag end, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition at this stage, however, makes a prayer that appropriate directions be issued to the learned trial Court to decide the case expeditiously. 5.
In light of above, considering the fact that the matter is at the fag end and is fixed only for defence evidence and final arguments, therefore, without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with a direction to the learned trial Court to expedite the trial in accordance with law.
