By way of present petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the limited prayer made in the present petition is for issuance of direction to the Executing Court to expedite the proceedings in Execution Petition bearing No.1742-2024 dated 12.04.2024 titled as Ritu Chopra Vs. Gobind Gupta.

In the present case, the petitioner-landlord sought eviction of the respondent-tenant from the tenanted premises forming part of the property No.B-IV-686, Mali Ganj, Ludhiana, on the ground of personal necessity. 3.
The eviction petition was allowed by the learned Rent Controller vide decision dated 08.01.2024. Though, the aforesaid decision has been assailed at the instance of respondent-landlord by way of Rent Appeal No.40-2024 (Annexure P-2), however, there is no interim order passed in his favour.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an Execution application has been filed at the instance of petitioner-landlord before the Executing Court which has been numbered as Execution Petition-1742 of 2024 titled as Ritu Chopra Vs. Gobind Gupta. He further submits that the ejectment petition was filed in the year 2015 and the petitioner-landlord is awaiting possession for the past almost 9 years and thus, prays for expediting the proceeings before the Executing Court. 5.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and gone through the paper book.

Considering the aforesaid submissions made on behalf of petitioner, present petition is disposed of and Executing Court at Ludhiana is request to expedite the proceedings arising out of the Execution Petition bearing No.1742-2024 dated 12.04.2024 as early as possible.
