The present petition has been filed by the petitioner inter alia praying for protection of his life and liberty claiming there to be eminent danger at the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 7. 2.

Under the garb of the said prayer, another prayer has been made for lodging an FIR for commission of offence of fraud to the tune of Rs. 20,55,000/- on account of not executing the registry of land measuring 11 kanal 6 marla by the private respondents.

After arguing on the merits of the case and having failed to demonstrate any threat perception and the matter being purely civil in nature, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to avail her civil remedies. Accordingly the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty aforesaid.

However, this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the liberty granted, if any, is only on the request of the counsel for the petitioner and is not a direction. 6.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioner, in case, he is found involved in any illegal activity and/or in violation of any law qua which the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
