The petitioner who is husband of the detenue namely Simranjit Kaur aged 20 years has come up before this Court for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for issuing direction to official respondents for her release.

Matter was called twice but none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. 3.

Reply dated 21.10.2024 on behalf of State has been filed in Court today which is taken on record and the relevant para of the said reply reads as under: "3. That it is submitted that thereafter on 07.10.2024, the detenue Simranjit Kaur got recorded her statement with the police of P.S. Chabbewal, District Hoshiarpur in the presence of her father Santosh Kumar and mother Balwinder Kaur and the detenue Simranjit Kaur stated that she is living with her parents at Village Bahua, Tehsil Banga, District SBS Nagar without any pressure. She has no danger to her life and liberty from her father Santosh Kumar, brother Sunil Kumar and mother Balwinder Kaur. After getting recorded her statement before the court of Ms. Parvinder Kaur Ld. CJM SBS Nagar on 07.10.2024, she went to her parent's house at village Bahua, District SBS Nagar with her parents.

ASI Tajinder Singh, P.S. Chabbewal also recorded the statement of petitioner Surinder Kumar and he stated that the parents of detenue Simranjit Kaur took her alongwith them from Chandigarh to their house at Village Bahua, P.S. Behram, District SBS Nagar and now detenue Simranjit Kaur is living with her parents and now he has no concern with detenue Simranjit Kaur."
